How it all started...

Northside Baptist Church has been sharing the hope of Jesus Christ in Princeton, Kentucky, since 1949. As the city grew following World War II, First Baptist Church of Princeton recognized the need for a gospel-centered ministry on the north side of town. A former tractor maintenance building on Dawson Road was purchased, cleaned, and transformed into a place of worship in just over a month. The first revival was held on April 10, 1949, and on September 4, 1949, Northside Baptist Church was officially organized with 77 charter members.

Expanding over time...

From those humble beginnings, God has faithfully blessed the church with steady growth. Throughout the decades, Northside has expanded its campus, built new worship and educational facilities, established the Recreational Outreach Center (R.O.C.), and continually adapted its ministries to meet the needs of both the church family and the surrounding community. Every building project has reflected a commitment to creating spaces where people can worship, learn God's Word, and build meaningful relationships.

Our mission...

Missions have always been at the heart of Northside's ministry. From helping plant local churches in its early years to supporting missionaries and ministry partners across Kentucky, the United States, and around the world, Northside has remained committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. The church continues to serve the local community through outreach ministries while partnering with state, national, and international mission efforts to share the love of Christ.
